Human Resources Management
The best human resource management ensures that an organization’s capital, it’s human resources, are maintained, developed, nurtured and managed in a way that is strategic for both the short and long-term, resulting in success at all levels within the organization. Professional human resource management also establishes a reputation for excellence among the communities where the company does business, and the clients that are being served, for the high quality of it’s employees, employment practices, benefits and compensation. The lack of human resource management, over time, will result in organizational failure. Essential and effective partners in developing and executing an organization’s human resource management strategy, a human resource professional is worth his/her weight in gold.

The Challenge:
Develop a personal plan that would enable a highly successful college admissions advisor and mother of two to establish strategic personal and professional goals that would build on her strong skills in organizational management, interpersonal communications, and knowledge of college admissions practices nationally and internationally. The client wanted to be able to make a career move across the country that would be reasonably comfortable for her family, and attain a position with greater responsibility and compensation.
The Solution:
Working collaboratively with the client, The Austin International Group was able to identify the personal challenges and cost considerations involved in the career move, as well as the client’s personal and professional values. With a greater understanding of her strengths, values and priorities, the working professional and mother was able to build a strong support network, identify alternative career options, assign priorities, and define milestones for herself and her family that would define both her professional success and their emotional well-being. TAIG developed a timeline for her job search and relocation and helped the client role-play potentially difficult conversations. TAIG’s coaching resulted in a very successful transition for the client’s family to a new location and a progressive career move for the client.

The Challenge:
Develop a low-cost plan to transform a negative work environment, that would enable a telemarketing group sales manager who discovered that some members of her sales team were making inappropriate and derogatory comments to other members about their ethnicity, weight and age, to address and change this behavior before it compromised her team’s performance, cost her talent, and exposed the company to a lawsuit.
The Solution:
Working one-on-one with the group sales manager, The Austin International Group developed a plan that would not require additional funding and would only require employees to be away from work for a minimal amount of time. The plan strategically re-organized the sales team and enabled the sales manager to change the negative workplace dynamic by pairing the high and low achieving individuals to boost team solidarity and collaboration.
Implementation of the plan created a re-organization of the team that included mentor roles and leadership opportunities, improving the team’s internal communication skills and their ability to be collaborative and champion colleagues. The strategy was an effective and efficient way to transform a difficult and unpleasant work environment.
